A Very Special Painting Workshop.HOW WOULD YOU EXPRESS THE FRIDA IN YOU? With Lorraine Abernethy Artist, Educator and Facilitator. I am really looking forward to conducting this new portrait painting workshop over 4 Friday mornings. This is a special Painting Workshop where the participants will be encouraged to access their inner Frida. We will watch a documentary about Frida Kahlo’s life to assist in understanding her journey, her life, and where her inspiration came from. Her life’s journey was to feed her amazing creativity, she was like an open book. Where will your inspiration come from? |

Crystal Creek Artist Retreat Workshop

This includes on location drawing and action painting, where the outcome will be a completed canvas. The painting will be expressively created tapping into your playful intuitive self. Participants will be using brushes (small & large house brushes) throwing, hands on manipulation until the final result is achieved.
The 2 day workshop includes a delicious lunch.

Recognizing that freedom in the work field is sometimes other than your own we want you to rediscover your line and the freedom that goes with it.
Working in low density workshops we are able to provide you with individual attention, in an art studio environment.
This may involve working on location and/or the studio.
Under the guidance of the artists you will experience the freedom of creativity, your line, your take, there are no limits other than your imagination.
The classes are designed to be open and friendly.

Ian and Lorraine have over 55 years of experience between them in the art industry. They are both award winning professional artists who have exhibited their work on an international level. Their artworks are in museums and major private collections here and overseas. Lorraine has been a teacher of drawing, painting and printmaking in TAFE, schools and private workshops. Ian has been artist in residence @ The Ritz-Carlton, Hotel Hana Maui, Hyatt Regency to name a few. Together they will guide you with expert instruction in rediscovering the line, drawing and painting in watercolour.
