You will be guided with expert instruction from award winning artist Lorraine Abernethy. This includes on location drawing and painting, where the outcome will be a completed canvas. Participants will be using brushes (small & large house brushes), acrylic paints, and mixed media to create their final result.

Lorraine Abernethy and Ian Tremewen, two award winning fine artists, present: THE FREEDOM OF THE LINE
This retreat, designed for architects, is recognized by the RAIA and will accrue Formal CPD points.

Recognizing that freedom in the work field is sometimes other than your own we want you to rediscover your line and the freedom that goes with it. Working in low density workshops we are able to provide you with individual attention, in an art studio environment.
This may involve working on location and/or the studio. Under the guidance of the artists you will experience the freedom of creativity, your line, your take, there are no limits other than your imagination.

The classes are designed to be open and friendly.

Ian and Lorraine have over 55 years of experience between them in the art industry. They are both award winning professional artists who have exhibited their work on an international level. Their artworks are in museums and major private collections here and overseas. Lorraine has been a teacher of drawing, painting and printmaking in TAFE, schools and private workshops. Ian has been artist in residence @ The Ritz-Carlton, Hotel Hana Maui, Hyatt Regency to name a few. Together they will guide you with expert instruction in rediscovering the line, drawing and painting in watercolour.
